6:30 PM Heathers’ Bloody Book Club – Performative reading and presentation of the Heathers’ CUT CUT CUT publication series #1–3

The performance aims to expose the anti-feminist structures of horror films and open our eyes to new perspectives. Supporting actors and actresses are given a platform where they are celebrated as leading actors and actresses. With humorous insights into and findings from the research process on the feminist analysis of horror films by female* directors and the exploration of the Race-Bechdel-Wallace test. During the reading, HEATHERS will highlight queer-feminist alliances (and death) as survival strategies in horror films and within the collective.

18.30h Heathers’ Bloody Book Club - Performative Lesung und Präsentation der Publikationsreihe Heathers’ CUT CUT CUT #1-3

Die Performance will die antifeministischen Strukturen des Horrorfilms entlarven und den Blick für Neues öffnen. Nebendarsteller:innen wird eine Plattform gegeben, auf der sie als Hauptdarsteller:innen gefeiert werden. Mit humorvollen Einblicken in und Erkenntnissen aus dem Forschungsprozess zur feministischen Analyse von Horrorfilmen weiblicher* Regisseur:innen und der Thematisierung des Race-Bechdel-Wallacetests. Queer-feministische Allianzen (und der Tod) als Überlebensstrategien im Horrorfilm und im Kollektiv werden von HEATHERS während der Lesung markiert.
